A light trailer shouldn't keep you on edge. This lightweight True Tow hitch helps your truck and trailer settle level with live adjustment and built-in anti-sway, so towing feels steadier and more predictable.
This light-duty True Tow system is built to help your truck and trailer work together instead of fighting each other. Once dialed in, the trailer settles into a level stance, steering feels more planted, and sway is kept in check when wind or traffic conditions change.
Live adjustment is integrated into the head assembly, letting you fine-tune your setup without disconnecting or starting over. Turn the adjuster, watch the load settle, and head out knowing your weight distribution is where it should be.
With a streamlined, light-duty build, this system is easier to handle during setup and everyday use compared to heavier weight distribution systems. It's a practical fit for smaller to mid-size trailers that don't need extra bulk to keep it level and under control.

Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at the Weigh Safe True Tow Weight Distribution Hitch with four, six, eight, or ten-inch drop and 10,000 pound rated. Folks, again, we're looking at one system today, but you have the option to purchase that same exact kit with different shank drops. So depending on your ride height, you may need a deeper drop, maybe a six, eight, or ten-inch versus the standard four-inch that they start at. So make sure you're on the right item product page number for the right one that you're looking at. Now, these are gonna feature Weigh Safe's innovative live adjustment system, and that's right here on top.
That's gonna allow you to fine tune your spring bar tension once you're fully hitched. So that means no more repeated disconnecting, readjusting, moving around just to get dialed in to your proper setup. And as we know, if you've ever done this before, that saves lots and lots of time. So again, you're gonna be able to quickly level your trailer and your setup and improve your towing stability right out of the gate. Now, these have been built for the small mid-size trailers.
Again, these are considered lightweight even though they're at 10,000 pounds gross towing. And these are gonna give you that integrated sway control system inside the whole system as well. Starting up here, you got the dial here. You can dial this in to adjust the angle of the hitch head assembly. And that's gonna be very straightforward once you get it installed, and that's gonna make it quicker and easier to then be ready to go the very next time outta the gate.
And of course, you got your brackets here. They're gonna go on the frame of the trailer. And your spring bars are gonna ride inside of this L bracket here. And that's gonna be one of those friction points for this sway control. So metal on metal is gonna create friction, as we know.
And it's gonna be able to slide inside of this L bracket whenever you're making turns and when you're just riding on normal roads and things. And I like their L pin here, designed with this little spring clip here. A lot of the other brands just have a basic pin through, and they get lost easily or they fall off over time. These are really robust, and it looks like they're gonna last for years and years. And as I mentioned, you have four different options total of different drops that we carry here at etrailer, four, six, eight, or ten. And again, you wanna match up your system with the correct one for your right height and the drop that you need. And you can see all the different adjustments. These shanks, again, are fitting a two-inch standard hitch, with your standard hitch pin hole. And they do include the hitch pin, and you get all the hardware and the bolts and everything included. You have some greaser points. That's so those bars can pivot and stuff as you're traveling down the road. You get your standard 2 and 5/16th inch ball for towing. And that's a standard height on most of those camper and larger trailer couplers on those kind of setups. So again, it's gonna fit a lot of different options and things out there that you maybe have, maybe you're using different ones each trip or something. As we know, sway control is going to help with movement that's caused my wind, passing traffic, maybe it's semis, those kind of things. Sway control is gonna make your travel a night and day difference. If you've never used them, I'd highly recommend them, especially if you're getting a lot of squat in your rear-end. These will help get that weight evenly distributed across your whole setup. It's gonna get those headlights pointing back down on the road where they need to be. And it's gonna get your traction back across the whole setup, which again, is gonna help with everything as well. Folks, that's gonna wrap up our quick look together at the Weigh Safe True Tow Weight Distribution system. Again, at four, six, eight, or ten-inch drop options. I'm Steven.
