Hello Sonya, thanks for reaching out. The Weigh Safe True Tow Weight Distribution Hitch # WS79VR will work nicely with the Ember Overland 190MSL. The weigh safe WD hitch is made for trailer with a GVWR under 8,500 lbs, and the 190MSL has a 5,815 lb GVWR which is well within parameters. This means there will be adequate tension on the spring bars so you will see good ride leveling and effective sway control. The built-in scale is a nice feature too.

Just keep in mind the frame brackets for this WD hitch must be placed between 27" and 32" back from the hitch ball. You will want to inspect the tongue of your trailer and make sure there are no obstruction in this location.

Also, it comes with a 2-5/16" ball so please confirm this is correct for your trailer.

Hey Sonya, how did the Weigh Safe True Tow hitch end up working with your Ember Overland 190MSL? Did the built-in scale and sway control give you the ride leveling you were hoping for? Your update could make it easier for others setting up a similar trailer.

@JesseM We have a 2006 Chevy suburban that has the air shocks/auto service ride control that can not be turned off when the suburban is running. Do you have instructions for the order of installing for the true safe sway bar system that you can email me or provide link to? Start with it turned off, then turn on (which will try to air shocks adjust), what would these steps be so I don’t break something? Thanks
