Will Weigh Safe Weight Distribution System Help Brinkley Z Air 310 Travel Trailer

Updated 11/20/2025 | Published 11/15/2025

Question:

I am interested in the way safe, heavy duty weight distribution hitch. My question do you have any reviews of anybody purchasing in using one on a Brinkley Z air 310 Travel trailer? I don’t have a problem spending the money for the hitch as long as it does what the research that I have done has told me in regards to reducing the sway. I have a blue ox sway pro right now and I cannot get it dialed in to where I have minimal sway matter of fact I can’t pull my trailer with my 2500 Dodge ram short bed much more than 45 to 50 miles an hour without the way not to mention if a semi goes past me and how much it pushes me. My wife and I bought a trailer for our retirement so we can travel, but I’m scared to death to pull it down the road 42 miles to a local campground. Hopefully I’ll get a response from you because I did not get much response from blue ox.

Hey Larry, the Weigh Safe weight distribution systems are really nice while I do think you'd be really happy with it we don't have Brinkley specific experience we can share with them quite yet. What is the tongue weight of your travel trailer as it is ready to tow? What is the tongue weight rating of the Blue Ox setup you have?

@Larry I was thinking about your situation and I realized I should have talked more about the sway you are experiencing. The type of sway you have is not the type that normally any WD can really fix. It is normally from a trailer with not enough tongue weight relative to the total trailer weight (needs to be 10-15 percent) or it is from a trailer that is sitting nose high.
