Which Weigh Safe Weight Distribution for 1,300 lb Tongue Weight
Updated 11/13/2025 | Published 11/12/2025 >
Question:
Hello, I have a tt that weighs 12500 and 1300lbs at the ball. Should I move up to the 18K model? Or can I just to feel safe? Thanks, Don

Hey Don, since your tongue weight is higher than the tongue weight range of the # WS54RR you would need to go with the higher rated # WS37RR. If you are over the tongue weight rating of a WD system it basically makes it ineffective. What trailer do you have?
