Question:
Hello , how does the Curt True Course module work compared to the Tuson model? The Tuson seems to activate left and right brakes independently. Does the Hayes model just pulse both brakes together? Which model is recommend for a 2017 F150 with factory brake controller towing a 19foot 3500# Geo Pro?

Expert Reply:
Since the Tuson Electronic Sway Control System # 335TSC-1000 will activate either side of the trailer brakes as needed to stop sway and the Curt True Course # C94VV instead applies them both at the same time and does a better job sensing and stopping sway the Tuson is a more advanced setup. If you are wanting the absolute best, don't want to feel sway at all, don't mind paying for it, and having a slightly more involved install the Tuson is the way to go.
The Hayes installs incredibly easy as basically you just mount it on the trailer and plug the 7-way of the trailer into it and then the 7-way of the Hayes into the tow vehicle. Also worth mentioning is that applying both brakes at the same time of the trailer is incredibly effective at stopping sway so this will kill any sway very quickly. What the difference would feel like for you between the two vehicle is that you might feel the Hayes tug on the brakes a bit harder to stop and prevent the sway and you may still feel the sway briefly whereas with the Tuson you won't even know it's happening. You'll see a red light illuminate on the monitor telling you it sensed and killed sway but you won't know otherwise.
