Hello I have a 2006 dodge ram 1500 4wd 5.7 and I was looking at your draw tight front trailer hitch and was wondering if that would fit my truck and if so whats the biggest winch i could use with that so if you could please get back to me on that that would be great thank you

Hey Michael. I have other options for you but the Draw Tite Front Hitch item # 65046 only fits the 2500 and 3500 models.

For a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 we have two options both of which have a 9,000 lbs line pull capacity. Which one you need is going to depend on what cab your truck has. I have listed the options below:

2006 Ram 1500 Mega Cab - Curt Front Hitch item # C31017

2006 Ram 1500 Regular or Quad Cab - Curt Front Hitch item # 31320 will not fit the Sport models.

With one of the Curt front hitches installed you can use the Bulldog DC9.0 Integrated Off-Road Winch item # BD500600. It's got a 9,000 lbs capacity so it will match perfectly. You'll want to use the Bulldog Winch Receiver Mount Kit item # BDW20155 to install it.

What cab style does your truck have and is it the Sport model?

Hey Michael, what did you end up going with for your Ram 1500—one of the Curt front hitches or something else? I'm curious how the setup worked with the Bulldog winch. Your update could make it easier for others choosing a similar combo.
