Hello neighbors and friends, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our Specialty Recreation Universal Replacement RV Skylight for an 18x26 inch smoke color. Now, folks, I wanna go ahead and start off with some dimensions, but let you know this fits a 14 inch wide by 22 inch rough opening. So again, the rough opening that you're gonna fit this into needs to be 14x22. As far as some quick dimensions, overall on a length, I'm getting right at 26 inches, and for a width, I get 18. And keep in mind, that's the outer rectangular flange part, that's not the bubble part.
The bubble is approximately five inches tall, give or take. Now this is a durable polycarbonate, it is UV resistant and impact resistant. As you can see, it's smoke colored and it's gonna, you know, tame the bright lights and reduce UV transmission as well. Now they make the installation super simple. As you can see, it's got pre-drilled holes all around the exterior.
You will need some screws that are not included, and more importantly, you're gonna wanna use the included SR140 sealant. Now this is made for polycarbonate, so make sure you're using the included one and never use self-leveling sealant with polycarbonate skylights because the self-leveling has a chemical in there that could break down the polycarbonate and cause catastrophic failure. Now this is made here in the US and has a nice one-year warranty. Well, folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look at the Specialty Recreation Universal Replacement Skylight. Again, this is 18x26, but it fits a 14 inch by 22 inch rough opening.
I'm Steven, have a good one.
