Question:
Is it hard to remove the meyer base line spreader when I want to use my truck bed or tow again?

Not at all, Ryan. The Meyer Base Line 240 # ME86FR and Base Line 400 # ME26FR tailgate spreaders slide right out of your 2" receiver - just pull the hitch pin, unplug the quick-connect wiring, and lift or roll them away. The 240 weighs around 95 lbs empty, and the 400 is roughly 110 lbs, so one person can handle either one with a small dolly or stand. Meyer actually recommends removing the spreader whenever you tow or haul, since it fully occupies the hitch.
Do you have indoor storage for it? Keeping it covered and dry between storms really extends its lifespan.
