How Much Movement is Normal for Dometic Thermostat Off/On Switch
Updated 10/30/2025 | Published 10/05/2025 >
Question:
I have a manual dometic thermostat. It was working a few days ago and today I can’t get it to come on. The trailer is new to me. I have propane and my question to you is the on/off switch. I’m not seeing any noticeable movement. Is “on” to the left or right and how much movement should I feel in the switch?

Hey Patricia, I am assuming you have the Dometic thermostat part # DMC84RR that you referenced. You should hear a click when the thermostat is turned off and on so it is a little concerning you aren't hearing anything. If you check out the attached review video you can hear what it will sound like around the 30 second mark.
