Question:
I want to replace my camper tires with something that can more safely handle highway speed. Hi-Run 16.6 x 6.50-8 4 bolt trailer tire assembly from Princess Tire was recommended but theyre Canadian. Do you have a comparable tire with wheel?

Hey Susan!
The 16.5 x 6.5 - 8 tire size is an older model and was replaced with the 165/65-8 size. We have that in the Kenda 165/65-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" White Wheel # AM3H200 but this is rated for 65 mph so you won't be increasing the safe speed by much (if at all).
I can help you get a tire rated for a higher speed, but it will mean getting tires that are a bit larger than what you currently have. For example, the Kenda 205/65-10 Bias Trailer Tire with 10" White Wheel # AM3H460 fits on a 4-Bolt pattern hub and it has an 87 mph speed rating, but it's about 2" wider and has a 4" larger diameter so you're looking at more restricted space where the tire sits.
Would this larger tire size work for your trailer?
