What is the Lithium Charging Output of the Replacement Converter Section for a PD4060 Power Center?

Updated 08/07/2025 | Published 07/25/2025

Question:

I have some technical questions about the PD4060CSV converter you sell. I have the older PD4060 that does not have the LiFePO4 capability so I am considering purchasing the new converter section above from you. Will this PD4060CSV be capable of charging a 300AHr LiFePO4 battery with no issues in place of my Lead acid battery? Or is it more reasonable because of charge current to have a 100AHr instead? Does the PD4060CSV use 2 stage charging for LiFePO4 batteries like charge/float or or just constant voltage charging profile? Thank you for taking the time.

Hey Jerry. Since your Progressive Dynamics PD4060 doesn't have the lithium switch the Replacement Converter Section item # PD4060CSV is exactly what you need.

A 60 Amp Converter like item # PD4060CSV is powerful enough to charge a 300 amp hour LiFePO4 battery like item # GP26QR. When you put it on the lithium battery setting the Charge Wizard technology is disabled and it sets the converter to a constant 14.6 VDC output.
