How Much Can 2023 Chevy Blazer Tow With etrailer Hitch Installed

Hello. 2023 Blazer with factory tow package rated at 4,500 towing with 450 max TW. You say your installation can handle 5,000 and a higher TW. How can it be more than than Chevy rates the Blazer to tow? Is the tow load determined by the hitch or by the vehicle? You do mount your hitch in a different way than Chevy does. Hey Ted! You will always be limited by the lower capacity when towing. It isn't uncommon for a hitch like the etrailer # e36YR to have a higher capacity than the vehicle it is designed for. Hitches are often overrated but they do not increase the towing capacity. You will be limited to the 4,500/450 lb rating of your Blazer.
Will you be towing a trailer? If so, you will also want the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56325 and a ball mount like # e66PR.
