Leveling Aluminum Tongue Camper

Question:

What is the best load leveling set up for towing my aluminum tongue camper? Its going to be around 3500lb. Total and around 350 lb tongue weight. Tow vehicle is a 22 Nissan frontier. Thanks!

Hi Don; what did you have in mind for load leveling? Are you looking for suspension enhancement for your 2022 Nissan Frontier to keep it level? If so, I recommend the SumoSprings # SS96EV (Crew Cab) or # SSR-612-47 (King Cab). These will smooth out the ride and provide you with additional support to keep you level while towing.

If you were thinking about a weight distribution hitch something like the Fastway e2 # FA92-00-0600 will work with your tongue weight. However, you need to check with the trailer manufacturer to see if weight distribution can be used since it is aluminum. What kind of trailer do you have?

This is a 2013 livin lite Camplite 16. Thanks! I will try to contact them, but this brand has changed hands so info may be scarce!

@DonM if you can't get a good answer I would play it safe and operate under the assumption that it cannot use a weight distribution hitch.
