I am looking to purchase hard trifold Tonneau Cover that is compatible with a rack system for my 14 ft kayaks. I have a 2024 Chevy silverado 1500 short bed 5.8 and I am not finding the two items compatible Thanks

Hello Mike, thanks for reaching out. We do have a tonneau cover/ladder rack combo that will fit your 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 short bed.
The best ladder rack option for this is the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH43002XT-781. This attaches using rails that mount to the stake pockets. Meaning you can use most any tonneau cover that installs fully inside the bed rails and leaves the stake pockets exposed.
If you want a hard tri-fold cover to go with it, I recommend the following:
- BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover - Folding - Aluminum - Matte Finish # BAK448130
This installs fully inside the bed rails, so it will work with the Thule ladder rack. The tonneau rail may butt up right against the ladder rack rail, but you will be able to install both.
The ladder rack comes with load stops, so you could just put the kayaks directly on the crossbars or a crossbar pad and tie them down. Or you can use any channel mount kayak carrier like the Rhino-Rack Nautic 581 Kayak Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs # RR581.
