The rustproof slats are wrapped in textured black vinyl that’s UV-resistant and weather-tight, keeping out rain, snow, and road grime. Once the tailgate is locked, the bed stays sealed and secure with no Velcro or snaps to fuss with.
There’s no need to remove the cover when hauling something big. Just pull the release cable, roll it up, and secure it behind the cab with the built-in nylon straps and buckles. The cover rolls evenly every time thanks to the hinged aluminum slats under the vinyl surface. With the Revolver X2 mounted inside the bed rails, you still have access to stake pockets for racks or tie-down anchors, all while keeping a clean, low-profile look.
If you run ladder racks, overland racks, or bike mounts that use stake pockets or top-rail attachments, the Revolver X2 plays nicely with them. Its flush, inside-rail design leaves the top of the bed rails open, so you can pair it with T-slot or stake-mounted accessories. That means you can haul ladders, kayaks, or rooftop gear without removing the cover.
Opening and closing the cover is quick and simple. Press down on the rear slat to automatically lock it in place along the side rails, or pull either release cord to roll it back up. The rotating side-rail teeth lock the cover down the full length of the bed for a solid, tamper-resistant seal. Gusset-reinforced tailgate levers add durability, and the mechanism never needs adjustment.
You don’t need a shop to install the Revolver X2. The aircraft-grade aluminum rails clamp inside the bed with no drilling, and pre-installed shims and slotted brackets help line everything up square. Once bolted together, the frame fits flush and tight, giving a finished look that stays put through heavy use and rough weather.

I question whether it's a genuine Revolver product. The fit is very poor. The quality is bad. It's not my first Tonneau cover and the one for my other truck is the genuine product. I feel this is a knock-off. There is a significant indicator also - it doesn't contain the Revolver label.
The only issue I've experienced with this cover that I was not pleased with was it blew up from one corner during a very strong crosswind and several of the plastic rail clips broke. I consider it an anomaly since its never happened again. BAK sent me replacement parts at no cost. The repair was simple.
On the positive side the cover gives you additional security from theft due to its construction. It's expensive but I feel worth the money, especially when protection of valuable cargo is needed.
I have had this cover for one year and I would not buy it again. I read the reviews about how terrible this design is in climates that has freezing temps, but I live in New Orleans so freezing rain and snow was not a concern.
Turns out it’s not just cold weather and ice that ruins this, so doesn’t the sun and heat. The vinyl cover that you see when the cover is down is glued to a bunch of aluminum pieces and this design allows it to roll up and down. When the sun heats up the vinyl the glue separates from the aluminum sections and the cover will not roll up or down.
Don’t get me wrong, the concept is great, but the companies execution is off. I think I bought the second iteration and if I were you I would wait until the 6th or 7th version. They are far from getting this design right.
The felt-like lining that lies on underside of cover (and acts as cushion for rolling?) had bad glue job. This material came off in under 1 year. Appears that the glue was not meant for hot weather, as it came off in summer heat. Disappointed. Mfg website does not provide instructions on what glue to use to reattach, so had to experiment to find glue that would work to reattach. Perhaps in future they should use mechanical attachment instead of glue method...
Perfect for the hard working truck fans! Great quality for the money! I love the fact that I can completely conceal my tools and gear without sacrificing the full use of the truck bed! Highly recommend!
I purchased this cover about a year ago for my 2019 Nissan Titan. I was happy with the appearance, it makes the truck stand out like no other. I can store things in the back, like luggage when traveling and it is secured and it will not leak. The cover itself is pretty sturdy, I have sit about 100 Lbs. on it and it doesn't bow in. I have the leather edition and it is easy to clean. It looks new even after a year, But maintenance is required to keep it looking good. Just keeping it clean and leather conditioner keeps it looking spectacular.
I have found the cover easy to install. It still works fine 1 year later. It is easy to roll up using one hand. The only problem I experienced so far is occasinal failure of the wire to release the cover on the driver side of the cover when operatred from the tailgate on the passenger side. Its otherwise been a perfect product keeping even the worst rain and snow out of the back of my pickup.
The roll up cover has performed very well in cold temperatures and warm. The top is water proof even when sprayed at the car wash. I like the security provided when the tailgate is locked. Overall very happy and would purchase this again.
Secure straps for when the tonneau cover is rolled up ripped out of the washers holding to the frame. Tarp pulled away from rubber seal causing water leak. Latches on the side of the cover dont always latch into the track.
I purchased both the Bak Revolver 2 Tonneau and the B & W adapter for my companion 5th wheel hitch from trailer.
Both the product and service was great
This is the worst tonneau cover I’ve ever dealt with in my life. The latching system is complete garbage. I have it adjust as far back as it can go and it does not leave the latches closed. You hit one bump one the road and it slides off the latch and the sides come up with any little gust of wind. I am currently on my 4th warranty claim with them in 11 months second full cover replacement. Wish they would just give me a refund.
Clean look and easy to use. Still very satisfied with my purchase after 1 year. I installed it on a 2018 Honda ridgeline. My only complaint is when I purchased the product, it took them 3 delivery to provide the right attachment parts for my vehicle. Poor workmanship from the manufacturer. This problem as nothing to do with etrailer, which I'm happy with.
We bought (2) of these covers a year ago and would definitely highly recommend them. This is a well thought-out, nicely featured and well designed product of excellent quality. In the past we used Velcro strip hold-down "tarp-type" Tonneau covers in the past and will never go back. These covers roll up effortlessly and very quickly compared to the Velcro type. And, (as long as you keep the lock-down bar & track clean) they just as effortlessly roll out, lay down, lock down, and stay down - no stretching and having to take time working to get the tarp tight so that it doesn't "flap" in the wind. Wonderful product.
It’s a great fit on our Ford Maverick. It is very easy to open up when we need to haul larger items and very easy to close when more room is not necessary. We are extremely happy with this cover and etrailer.com.
I couldn't be more pleased by this tonneau cover except if they found a way to make it magically disappear into the cab when I want to use the whole bed. It did its job throughout both summer and winter, keeping snow and rain out of the bed of my Tundra. By virtue of its unique rolling design, it's also one of the few options compatible with my TracRac: I can fully roll and unroll it no matter where the racks are placed.
Great tonneau cover! It's amazing how easily a well made product installs. I replaced my soft folding IMPORTED tonneau cover with this sweet piece and I can honestly say I now understand the difference in price. The Revolver X2 fits flush, looks great, closes securely, and just makes me feel a little cooler knowing it's back there ( I need all the help I can get). Bottom line, I was apprehensive spending so much for a tonneau cover but now that I did I will shout from the rooftops "YOU GOTTA GET ONE OF THESE REVOLVER X2s!" etrailer is a no-brainer as well, you can buy BAK tonneau covers from dozens of other retailers but I know etrailer, I trust etrailer, and I know if there's ever a problem (which I doubt there will be) etrailer will be there to fix it.
Easy to install and works better than e xpected!
I ordered a BAK Revolver X2 Hard Tonneau cover for my 2013 Nissan Frontier pickup truck. Navigating the website was easy, I liked the price and the free shipping that were offered. I immediately received tracking information for my item so I knew what to expect. The item arrived on time and was professionally packaged and undamaged during shipment. The installation instructions were easy to follow and the kit included everything necessary to complete the installation, which took approximately 30 minutes. The cover looks great and works great. I am a very satisfied customer.
Overall I'm satisfied with the product, but for the price I expected a little better attention to detail. The fit and finish leaves something to be desired. All the parts are just cut and are not finished or cut evenly for that matter (see pics). It gives the overall feeling of a hastily finished product. Plus I've already to replaced some parts due to breakage. Fortunately they were rreplaced free of charge. But it does the job and fits my needs, so I'm giving it 3 stars.
I like the idea of this cover rolling open or closed and the fact it locks when closed. Problem is the plastic guides that push into the aluminum rails do not stay in place. When rolled open and strapped down bouncing down highway the weight of the cover pushes these plastic guides out and allows seal to be damaged and to come out of its grove. I had to insert pieces of wood into the track to hold guides in place at front of track. I pull a 44 ft toy hauler around USA so cover stays rolled open for weeks at a time. The weight of rolled up cover smashes the guide pieces out of place. In the picture that’s paint stir sticks with foil tape on them so they stay dry.
The rollback cover is excellent. It is designed well, and went on my 2003 Silverado easily and it fits well. The only negative I have with my new cover is when it arrived from the manufacturer (BAK), it was full of aluminum chips. As I unrolled it to install it they were wrapped into the cover. I was getting aluminum chips everywhere. The cover had them rolled in the fabric cover, I got them on/in my hands, and on the painted surface of my truck. Love this cover. It gives me the freedom of an open truck bed and the security of a locked trunk. It's been nice keeping my fly fishing gear secured in the back and ready to use at a moments notice.
Love my BAK Tonneau cover. If there was one thing I've had an issue with is in the winter the track can freeze down and stop you from opening the cover. But other then that I am very happy with it.
This BAK RevolverX2 tonneau cover is a high quality product that has performed well on my GMC Sierra 2500HD, it keeps my cargo safe, relatively dry and I save fuel. what more could ask for in a product.
I am really glad I bought this cover. I looked and looked and ended up with this hardtop aluminum roll-up cover. It was easy to install, fits well and is secure. I am able to roll it up and snap it down and still pull a fifth wheel without having to remove the cover, a big plus.
My only issue is the tie down buckle and straps are poorly conceived. The snaps should be redesigned for easier access and use. One of the snaps broke early on and I had to find a replacement.
