Question:
Where is the factory brake controller port on the 2018 chevy silverado 1500
asked by: Randall V
Expert Reply:
The factory brake controller port on your 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 is in your vehicle's junction box underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, just above the carpeting. If you take a look at the accompanying photo you can see exactly where it is.
You will need to access this box in order to use the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers # 3016 which will work with Tekonsha brake controllers such as the outstanding Prodigy P3 # 90195.
I have added a link to a video of a brake controller being installed on a '17 Silverado for you to check out as well.
