Recommended Hitch for a 2022 Nissan Rogue

Updated 09/02/2025 | Published 06/20/2025

Question:

Good afternoon. Im interested in buying a hitch from here but want to ensure Im getting what I need. Im trying to install a hitch on a 2022 Nissan rogue AWD to tow only 1 trailer with a single seadoo. The single seadoo weight is about 750lbs dry weight and the trailer is small and just big enough for 1 single seadoo. Im unsure about tongue weight vs load weight needed for a safe ride. Thank you. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hey Tyler, thanks for the information! The best hitch for your 2022 Nissan Rogue is going to be our etrailer item # e93ZR. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It will have plenty of capacity to haul your trailer with your Sea-Doo on it.

The etrailer Hitch item # e93ZR is custom fit and bolts to your Nissan with included hardware. I have linked an installation video below along with the instructions so you can see how to get it set up.

Since you are towing a trailer you will also need a wiring harness item # C44ER and a ball mount kit item # e67DR. The wiring harness will provide you with a 4-flat connector to control your trailer's lights. This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your Rogue's wiring harness, which is located behind the tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies and some interior paneling to access this harness.

I recommend using the No-Drill Mount for Electrical Mounting Bracket - Short item # 18140 and the item # C42CR bracket. to secure the 4-way connector to your hitch. This will put it in an easy to reach spot and prevent the risk of it falling onto the road.

How often do you get to use your Sea-Doo?

Hey Tyler, did the hitch and wiring harness setup work out for towing your Sea-Doo? I'm asking because your experience could really help others looking to tow similar setups.
