Hey Paul, what vehicle do you have? I can find out the best trailer wiring solution for your vehicle as there isn't a one size fits all trailer wiring solution that is best for every vehicle. You did mention wanting a 5-way but normally for a rental trailer what you'd need is a 4-way for just taillight circuits.
There is a universal 4-way that probably would work great with the part # C59236 but there might be an easier solution depending on what you have though.

Thanks for writing back. I’m not so cheap as I am angry that the auto industry continues to find ways to complicate and financially gouge car owners. I refused to buy the Honda Pilot KIT /fuses. I simply wired my 2009 the old fashioned way. I just bought a converter kit that turns my five wires into a 4 flat plug connection. Thanks for writing back back…. I wish I’d have made a YouTube video showing how to simply bypass the Kit purchase. I’m good.
