Hey Johnathin! What kind of camper do you have? For a complete setup on your 2004 Tacoma you will need a hitch, wiring, brake controller, and ball mount. Starting with the hitch I recommend the etrailer # e64AR. This Class III hitch has a 2" receiver, bolt-on installation, matte black finish, and a limited lifetime warranty.
For wiring you need to start by adding a 4-way. The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118379 will plug into the connection points behind your tail lights and provide you with a 4-way to power your signal lights. To add a 7-way you need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This comes with the adapter, wiring, and everything else required to upgrade your trailer connector.
With the 7-way installed you will be able to add a brake controller. I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED52VR for its simplicity and reliability. The main unit installs behind the dash with only the control knob visible so it won't take up space in the cab of your truck. The knob controls the brake power and also acts as the manual override.
For a ball mount, check out the etrailer Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # e66PR. This comes with a 2" and 2-5/16" ball and has a rise/drop up to 6" so you can keep your camper or whatever else you need to tow level. If you need anything else don't hesitate to reach out in the comments below.

Hey Johnathin, how did your towing setup come together on the Tacoma with the hitch, wiring, and brake controller? Did the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty give you smooth brake control with your camper? Your update could make it easier for others planning a similar setup.
