Troubleshooting Curt T-Connector Wiring Install with Existing Plug on a 2022 Honda Pilot
Updated 04/04/2025 | Published 03/29/2025 >
Question:
I bought the Curt wiring harness for my 2022 Honda Pilot. I was trying to install today but watching the video, at about the 6:14 mark, it shows the white connector in the SUV to be empty, ready to plug the harness into. However mine is plugged into another connector already, what should I do now?

Hey Jeff, thanks for reaching out!
Are you able to trace the wiring on your 2022 Honda Pilot that's connected to what the Curt T-Connector # C56291 is supposed to plug into? That should just be used for the trailer wiring, so if you already have something connected to it then you should either have trailer wiring already installed, or it might be some type of dummy plug.
Please let me know what you find!

Hey Jon, thank you for responding. I went and looked again at the plug and took a couple of pictures. It is connected to another wiring harness but I do not see any trailer lights under the vehicle. I don't think I can include pictures in this chat but if you want to see them I can email them to you. I'm at a loss as to how to connect the wiring harness... Thanks Jeff
