Recommended Gooseneck Hitch for a 2015 Ford F-250 W/ OEM Pucks

Updated 03/27/2025 | Published 03/20/2025

Question:

I just bought a used 2015 F250 that already has a 5th wheel hitch rail. I use gooseneck trailers. Is there a gooseneck ball adapter to put in the 5th wheel rail? Its a complete circle, and a little smaller inside diameter than my Curt turnover ball from another truck. If i dont have to buy another entire gooseneck setup, that would be be great. Thanks, Matt

Hey Matthew, that would require the use of two adapters so unfortunately that is not going to be an option. Your best bet in this situation would be to use the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit for Ford, GM, Chevy, and Nissan Titan XD Underbed Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNXA2061.

This ball will drop right into your existing pucks, requiring no adapters, and has a beefy 30,000 lb towing capacity. I know it's not what you wanted to do, but in this situation I don't see another way around it.

If there is anything else I can do for you, please feel free to drop a comment and let me know!

Thanks for the reply. I ended up ordering an OEM puck system ball. However, the same truck has Firestone air bags in the rear, and they're leaking. Do you have a quick video on how to replace just the bags for the 2015 Super duty? I'll probably just order the replacement bags.

@Matt Hey Matt, I'm not sure what kit you have but if you have # F2597 then you can use the replacement # F6401. I've attached a video on how to replace the bag as well, though it's not on a 2015 Ford F-250 but the process will be the same.

@BryceD That looks a lot easier than a whole new kit. Thanks!
