I have a Ford truck with a 2-1/2" receiver on the back. Is this going to work for me?

I have a Ford f350 with the 3" receiver. I have an equalizer 16k hitch setup with a 2.5" shank and am running a Ford 3" to 2.5" reducer sleeve, but am getting a lot of slop. Can I run the trimax anti-rattle?
