When you want a lower deck for easier loading or better stability, the built-in 4" drop spindle on this suspension brings the trailer down where you need it. The spindle design lowers the deck height without dragging on the ground, so your ramp angle is smoother and cargo is easier to reach. It also comes equipped with electric brakes and EZ Lube fittings that make routine bearing maintenance quick and clean.
Bumpy pavement and uneven roads no longer mean a harsh ride. The AEON heavy-duty hollow rubber jounce and rebound springs soak up road shock and control trailer movement. Together they minimize sway, rattle, and body roll while keeping the trailer stable and quiet. The result is a steady ride that protects cargo whether you’re loaded or empty.
Traditional axles can catch on obstacles and limit clearance. This axle-less design eliminates the center axle beam, giving you full ground clearance and letting each wheel move on its own. When one side hits a bump or dip, the other stays level, delivering better traction and control. Built-in camber and toe-in also reduce tire wear so your setup tracks straight mile after mile.
Each unit bolts directly to the trailer frame for a solid connection that doesn’t flex under load. The heavy-gauge steel is finished in a black powder coat that resists rust and corrosion. A built-in square hole accepts 2" x 2" steel tubing if you want to add a crossbeam for extra rigidity—perfect for custom builds or frame reinforcements.
The pair of suspension units carries a combined 3,500-lb rating with hubs, bearings, races, seals, and electric brakes already matched and installed. The 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern fits most standard trailer wheels up to 16" diameter, with bearings L68149 (inner) and L44649 (outer) included. With 1-3/4" of suspension travel and a 3-year limited warranty, it’s a complete setup made to roll smoothly and last.

I purchased the axles because I was intrigued. I would that the mount was 12 wider, and you might want to inform the buyer that the configuration makes it necessary to mount the axles more to the back of the trailer frame. But I am overall pleased with the axles.

That is such a cool T@B, those little teardrops have that classic retro look that never gets old. I didn’t even realize you could take trailers on ferries like that, that’s awesome. This thing has seriously been everywhere. And great job on the install too, that’s no small upgrade. Out of all those trips, what’s been your favorite stop?
