Got a 2-1/2" hitch but need to run 2" accessories? This magnetic reducer sleeve bridges the gap. Slide it into place and feel the magnets grab. Add a ball mount or carrier, slide in your hitch pin, and go.
Reducers without magnets can slide around or fall out while you're trying to line up the pin, and that gets frustrating fast. This one's different. Magnets hold the sleeve in your 2-1/2" receiver so you're not wrestling with it, and the slot on the side gives you wiggle room so you don't have to line it up perfectly. Once your accessory is in place, slide the pin through to secure it. The magnets make setup easier, but the pin is what keeps the reducer from falling out when the receiver is empty.
Some adapters cut down your towing rating. This one doesn't. You keep the full capacity of your 2-1/2" receiver while running 2" accessories.

Product is great except one of the magnets cracked and broke soon after receiving. Still is useable just kinda disappointing.
Works as described. Stays in place and much easier to align the pin when installing the hitch since the hole is oblong. The magnets hold in place. I forgot to reinstall the pin and drove around for over a week; the insert never moved. Worth the money.
Sloppy. Moves around. Was okay for temporary use.
This magnetic hitch receiver reducer sounded like a great idea. I used it with a 6000lb trailer with an F-350 and Equalizer weight distribution hitch. The light loading on the WDH allowed the adapter to slide to the end of the slot, and then with the reduced length for weight distribution totally destroyed one of the magnets. Maybe this wasn't intended for weight distribution or my particular set up. It was a good idea that didn't work for me.
While the oblong hole makes for multi vehicle in my case it migrates all the way out and my my trailer feel sloppy while towing.
The magnets are super helpful and keep it from making noise while we tow our travel trailer.
Fits perfect with a strong magnetic hold but easily disassembled as well.
The reducer fit my 2026 F250 perfectly and felt very secure. Heavy duty and great quality. Thank you.

This adapter is easier to use because the hold it in place when sliding the hitch in. good product.
This receiver adapter was essential, since our Ram 3500 has a factory 2.5” hitch size. The magnets seem to hold it steady. Everything we own currently takes a 2” receiver. It’s nice that etrailer makes a good product that makes switching hitch size so easy. We haven’t towed with it yet, but looking forward to using it soon.
This adapter is perfect! I bought an adapter from another online store, but when it arrived I was forced to cut a section out due to the length. I then found this adapter and with the slotted area for the hitch pin, there was no issue using as designed. Wish I had gone to etrailer to begin with.

The adapter does not fit flush against the hitch because the chrome bumper is about 1/8” over the top of the hitch opening. The adapter still wants to slide a little when I try to put the hitch in, but aligning the locking pin through the hitch and adapter was much easier with the slot in the adapter. Better than the regular square adapter with another hole to match up with the hitch and receiver that slides back snd forth when setting up.

I would like to help get this issue resolved for you. Can you describe why the reducer sleeve wouldn't fit for your Dodge Ram 2500?
Much better than other adapters out there. No fighting to line up the hole for the hitch pin.
Fits perfect. What really sets this adapter apart from the others is the slotted hitch pin hole. Previous adapters with the flange I have purchased had hitch pin holes that did not line up in my hitch receiver.
This adapter takes all the worry and guess work out of the equation reducing to a 2 inch hitch attachment.
This insert fits perfectly and the magnets that hold it are super strong. If i were to leave it in the receiver with out a ball hitch or receiver pin, it is going to stay there.

This product was exactly what I was looking for! Awesome quality, fitment was perfect and features were gladly welcomed. The oval shaped horizontal pin receiving hole allows for a less exact alignment of the male receiver shaft. The magnetic properties of this sleeve was such a great idea! Really pleased with the outcome!!

After a year being in daily use out in the field this product has performed exactly as it shouldve and has held up nicely. The oval cut out still makes it nice when trying to install the pin after using different hitches or hitch carriers. The magnetic part really keeps the sleeve in place while switching hitches as well. Still thoroughly impressed with this product. Would recommend! ??
Have had the opportunity to use the reducer sleeve once at this point, but when I did I found it did not stay put. When I arrived at my destination with my travel trailer, the sleeve had slipped out from the receiver about an inch. I expected the magnets to hold the sleeve in place better than it did. I will try it again as I need the reducer to use my hitch, but if it slips again I will need to find another solution.
The slotted hitch pin hole is the key to my rating. There is no industry standard for the location of the hitch pin hole in the receiver.
I gave away my adapter that had worked perfect for my truck. Later I found that everywhere I went I could not find another sleeve that lined up correctly. This is the lifesaver I was looking for. Works great. Exactly as described and so easy to use. I love the magnets because it stays in place when putting the hitch and ball in. Yes, I highly recommend this hitch receiver reducer sleeve.
