Can you supply a template for my 2014 Honda CRV cutout trailer hitch installation. Your measurements are seven by three and one quarter. U-Haul measurements are eight and a half by four and a half. I suspect U-Haul gives you more clearance to work and install the hitch mount but possibly could cause road noise.. I purchase The Hitch from you last week Please advise

Hey Bill!
Our cutout directions for the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98868 are 7" x 3-1/4" like you referenced, and is what you'll need to follow when installing it on your 2014 Honda CR-V.
When it comes to the U-Haul hitch, I believe the part you're looking at is their part 75742G, which is the same as our Draw-Tite # 75742. These are different brands with slightly different designs and is why you're seeing a difference in the cutout requirements. It's always best to follow the instructions for your specific hitch you're installing.
