Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this replacement fat tire wheel strap for your Tooly T2 Classic Platform Bike Rack. So this strap is going to replace the standard strap that came with your T2 bike rack. This will allow .. It's a little bit longer.
It's 18 inches long. So it's going to provide greater clearance around those fat tire bikes. So if you're wanting to use your T2 to haul your fat tire bike, this strap is going to be very important for you. This will secure the rear wheel onto your bike holder on your rack. This will work for the Tooly T2 Classic Platform Bike Racks, including the inch and a quarter shank as well as the two-inch shank, whether it's TiltAWAY or not, it will work for all three of those options to ensure that your fat tire will be properly strapped down so that you can take it along with you.So that's going to complete our look for today. If you need a strap for your fat tire bike so that you can take it with you, this is going to be Tooly's option for you to get that all mounted in place.
That's going to complete our look for today. Thanks for watching..
Very very easy to install. Works perfectly to hold the wheels in place on our Thule two-plce bike rack
Exactly
What i need. Direct fit in my thule
Xtr pro bike rack
This strap is supposed to be for fat tires, but is only 18” long. It is the same as the standard strap. The description of the product should contain the length so people don’t buy it thinking they are getting a longer strap.
It's a fine replacement but is exactly like the one which is on the T2 Classic platform. It is no larger or smaller. I'm not sure why this has "fat tire" in the description. My 4" fat tire does not fit the factory strap and also does not fit this strap either.
The ratchet straps broke on my bike rack and I thought "oh no, I have to buy a new rack just because the steaps broke"? So I googled replacement straps and ETrailer popped up. I did have to call to get the exact measurements (hence 4 stars) but other than that, they were very helpful and friendly and the straps fit perfectly!
Quick quality product. My carrier is new again.
I bought the strap from etrailer because I was unable to find it anywhere else, but I thought it was overpriced for what it is.
These straps are the direct replacement for the original for my bike rack. etrailer is the place to buy or order parts for your Thule racks. Several years ago, I lost the keys to my locks on my Thule rack. etrailer came through with new keys and locks. Prices are very affordable and shipping is quick. I would definitely recommend etrailer to my friends and family. Keep up the good work etrailer.

Theyre still working without any issues. You definitely cant go wrong.
Not as described. Same length as original strap on my rack. Total scam!
Ordered from Etrailer before. Excellent service and quality products
Fast delivery via UPS and quality packaging.
These are really husky, long straps. But, they do not fit the rear wheel trays on our Thule rack. There is no way to attach them. The ends don't have the round cylinders that fit into the grooves in the Thule rear wheel tray. But, I was able to bolt one of them to the Fiamma bike rack strap I adapted to the Fat Tire front tray I modified to fit the Fiamma bike rack on our Airstream Trailer. Now I have purchased a newer fat tire rear wheel tray with larger strap that I will put onto the existing Thule bike rack with the new Fat Tire front tray. It's all good!
Strap is to short for a fat tire bike. This review is for the actual product. I had another issue and customer service was great.
Quick delivery
The strap is fine, but it's the same exact length as the strap that came on my Thule bike rack - which doesn't fit a fat tire bike. So if you truly need a strap for your fat bike (with a 4.5" tire), this will not fit.

Thank you for your feedback. Based on our research with Thule the strap measures 17.50 inches and from the hole to the end measures 16.25 inches. Most likely the issue you are experiencing is that you have the correct length strap but it is not routed properly for use with a fat bike. What you would need to do is pull out the current strap you have and then route it through the outside of the cradle Please see the link below. It has pictures of how the it fits into the cradle.

Hey John, these straps will fit fat tires when they are routed properly for fat tires. I linked a very helpful answer to explain how to route the strap for fat tires. Take a look at the photos.. they are super helpful!

The Thule T2 Fat Tire Wheel Strap is too short for a fat tire bike. I ride my fat tires at 5-6 psi and the strap does not go around the tire and wheel unless I really force down on the tire I might get one groove to engage. So I have to let most of the air out to engage the strap, then pump it back up to ride. Thule should add at least 1" (2.54cm) to the length. I am sure I am not the only one with this problem. Other than the short strap I do like the Thule Rack.
Perfect fit and quick delivery
I am giving four stars because through e- trailer I can order only the strap, rather than the entire assembly, saving quite a bit of money. With new bikes having larger tires and wheels the straps are still too short. I ordered the straps because I’m going to cobble two together to make a long strap to fit my new mountain bike.
Product was great, but turns out I didn't really need it. Thule info with the rack didn't really explain how to change the position of the strap in order to fit my fat bike, I had to rely on the excellent video review of the rack that I found on Etrailer side for that. Thanks, but now I have plenty of extra straps.
Couldn't find replacement straps for my Thule 5 year old bike rack. 2 straps had age hardened and broke. I was so happy to find this site. The straps fit perfect and I didn't have to purchase a whole new bike rack! Thank you!
I bought a almost new XT2 Pro, tried to mount my fat bike, and the strap wasnt long enough.. Got online, bought then fat bike strap, 18". Delivered 3 days later. Great! Threaded it thru, ended up being the SAME as what came with the rack. Looked at the never read owners manual, and all I had to do was short thread it. IE, put it in the trough that was a few inches closer, and it worked perfectly! So, ya dont have to buy a longer strap, just pull it out, and thread it into the NEXT location. It does my 4" fatty perfectly! I will keep the extra strap, justin case!
My bike rack is from 2016. I can't find replacement straps anywhere. Mine age hardened and cracked apart. etrailer was the only place I could find them. This company is a breeze to work with. I wish the straps weren't so expensive, but it's still cheaper than a whole new bike rack - which I'll probably have to get once these straps break.
The strap is 18" long. I had thought that it would be longer. You're still going to have to reroute the strap through the secondary latch point. You won't be able to go full through both latch points with this (or any) strap and still fit your fat bikes.
