Adam: What's going on, everybody Adam with etrailer. Today we have a Thule T2 platform style bike rack and what we're going to be going over is some replacement parts. One being the wheel cradle right here, whether it's just looking a little ratty or the ratcheting strap isn't really doing what it's supposed to do, or even if the strap here maybe might have broken. We actually do have replacement parts for this and it's extremely easy to replace these. So that's what we're going to go over in the video and show you guys how.So depending on what's easiest for you, we can either remove it like this, or what I'm going to do is just remove it like this. There's only one little screw that we're going to have to get to.
We're going to have to get a hex bit to get that undone. And if you guys did keep the tool from when you assembled this the first time you got it, you can use that or whatever one is going to fit.All you really need to do is just loosen this guy up, and once we get this out we want to set it to the side just for later, because we will be putting it back. That's just going to hold that cap into place and then we can go ahead and work that cap out. And then pretty much, job's almost done. Slide this out, just like that.
Then we can go ahead and put our replacement back on. It's going to fit a little bit tighter than the old one and we want to make sure we mimic the exact orientation it was when we took it off, and that's pretty much it. Once we get that done, replace our cap, just like that, and then our screw just like that. And that's pretty much it.So this is going to be an exact replacement of the one that your bike rack came with originally, so if you need any more specs or anything like that on these, we do have a bunch of videos on our website. You guys can go ahead and check those out to learn a little bit more, but as you saw extremely easy.
So even if you do have a little bit of troubles with your bike racks, you can just come to etrailer, We'll show you guys how to fix it.
The replacement part is exactly what is needed. The existing rear wheel holder has a crack and while looking online etrailer.com allowed me to easily find the correct part for the best price.
This replacement wheel holder assembly for the Thule t2 Pro fits exactly like the original parts with similar quality to the original. I now feel more secure that my bike will not fall off the rack and hurt anyone. Do not throw away your bike rack, just order this part and you are back on the roads again. This is a quality replacement part for you Thule Bike rack. Highly recommend.
I could not find the part anywhere online until I found etrailer. The only place that had the Thule T2 pro part listed. The ordering process so easy and very fast shipping and response. Now I know where to go for all my bike rack needs.
