Today, we're going to take a look at the replacement wheel strap for the Thule DoubleTrack Pro 2 bike platform rack. Now, this will replace the wheel strap that's on your DoubleTrack Pro 2 bike platform rack. That platform rack is part number TH9054, and we do sell that bike rack separately on our website.This wheel strap is what'll install on the cradle of your bike rack, and it'll ratchet around the tire and wheel of the bike to hold it in place on the bike rack. Basically, this end here will just snap into the cradle. Once you set your bike up onto the cradle, you'll just run this through the spokes of the wheel and then slide it into the clip and then pull it and it'll ratchet all the way down and just pull it as tight as you want to hold it into place.Overall length on this, from one end to the other, it's going to be right at 19 inches long. Width of it is 13/16 of an inch, and this is for a quantity of one wheel strap.But that should do it for the review on the replacement wheel strap for the Thule DoubleTrack Pro 2 bike platform rack..
Got my replacement Thule Bike rack wheel strap today and have already installed it and used it. Seems to be working fine. Glad to have a source for replacing these as they do seem to break every few years.
These straps are longer than the standard strap and allow more flexibility for larger tires on your bike. In particular, those with beach tires or mountain tires.
This item worked perfectly in my Thule T2 Pro bike rack. The strap that came with the rack was a bit too short to accommodate the wide tire on my e-bike. This strap was about 1.5" longer than the original and fit and works well.
Fits perfectly. Extend by about another 1" to 1.5"

The strap works but i need it to be longer, it’s only about 1 in that locks into place. Wondering if there is a wheel strap that is a few inches longer??

Thank you for your review. The strap is designed to bike tire widths up to 5. Thule does not have a longer strap available for the double track at this time unfortunately.
Quick turn around and great service. Works with my Thule hitch bike rack.
These straps are 19 inches long, they give you about 1-1/4 in more for fatter tires. They work great. One trick I learned, it to let a little air out of the tire if the fit is to snug, then add air back in when you get to your biking site.
If you don't have a spare one of this in your repair kit you really to order one. Ebikes are heavier than regular bikes and place more pressure on tie-down straps. Excellent customer service
It is a nice item the only issue I had is that it does not provide the rubber pad that protects the bicycle "Rim" I guess it was my fault for not check into it. I wonder if they sell the rubber protector separately so for anyone who wants to get a new strap like this one keep in mind to safe the old one or do a research if they sell it separately overall nice quality.

Working ok good after one year. With fatter and fatter tires coming out theses days on bikes and ebikes would be nice to get another inch or two in length on these straps.
