Question:
Tired of buying jacks only to have them rust/seize. Wondering in terms of quality, durability, and serviceability, whether you would recommend this Fulton F2 over a Dutton-Lainson such as the DL22457? My trailer is only 1,300kg GAWR so I think a 450kg/1000lb jack is plenty. I know the Dutton-Lainson provides full service kits so you can replace the gear mechanism, bushings, etc. Does Fulton have similar support for the F2? Which one is better quality?

Hello again, Alex. Both the Dutton-Lainson # DL22457 and Fulton F2 part # F1413140334 are good jacks but between those two the Fulton F2 is the better quality option as far as quality, durability and serviceability.
The Fulton F2 is made of a coated aluminum alloy. This makes it rust proof so you can expect the jack and all of the internal components to last longer than a zinc-coated steel jack like the # DL22457.
There are replacement parts available for the F2 like the whole drive gear assembly # F0133312S00, handle # F500134, pull pin # F500136 and wheel # F500131. The F2 does come with a lifetime warranty, the Dutton-Lainson is only a 3-year warranty. The F2 has a higher capacity also. If you are tired of buying a new jack every few years the F2 will definitely be the better option.
