Hi Jeff; the Dutton-Lainson Boat Trailer Jack w/ Wheel # DL22339 is designed to fit a 3" tall x 4" wide trailer tongue. It is possible to use it with a 5" wide trailer tongue but you will likely need to acquire longer bolts locally to accommodate the extra width since the included hardware is designed for a 4" wide tongue.
What trailer are you setting this up on?

The reply by Robin H seems accurate to me. I own this product and my trailer tongue is 3” square all the way around. If you need longer bolts, make sure you get high quality stainless steel due to salt water corrosion you may run into.
