Solution to Both Turn Signals Flashing at the Same Time w/ the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit ETBC7
Updated 12/22/2025 | Published 10/12/2024 >
Question:
I have installed ETBC7L on my 2023 Subaru Outback to convert from 4 to 7 pin. It was working great until today, when I turn a left or right turn signal BOTH lights on back of my trailer are blinking. What should I check/do to solve this problem? Thanks

That definitely sounds like a grounding issue. You'll want to start by checking the white wire on the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit item # ETBC7L. It should be securely attached to a bare clean piece of metal. If that ones good then you'll want to move on to the one attached to the 4-way connector. There's also one that'll be attached to your trailer's 7-way connector. One of these is probably lose or there could possibly be a cut or fault in one of them.
