Question:
I have a 2006 Trailex car trailer, model CT 7541, with 3500 lb axles and I need to replace the leaf springs. Would a pair of these 2800 lb leaf springs work.. 2x2800=5600…? If not, do you have a pair of 20.5 inch leaf springs that will? Thanks

Hey Jim,
Leaf spring ratings are listed as the axle's capacity which would mean that a pair of the # DX73CR would be rated for 2,800lbs. A single # DX73CR would only be rated for 1,400lbs. Since you have 3,500lb axles you'll need to make sure you go with ones listed for 3,500lb axles.
To get an accurate measurement of the leaf spring's length you'll need to first lift the trailer by the frame on the side you're measuring to take the weight off of the leaf spring. You'll then measure from the center of one eyelet to the center of the other eyelet.
The closest option we currently offer in the 3,500lb capacity range is 23-1/8" # e59SR so I would doublecheck that length to see if maybe it would be a fit. If not let me know what measurement you get and I'll see if I can get that specific length and capacity added.

Thanks for your reply, Kevin. The springs I need are 20 1/2 inches eye to eye, For a 3500 LB axle. A total of four springs. If you could look around for some, I would greatly appreciate it. Jim
