Hey Stephen to add a 4-Way harness to your 2016 VW Golf TSI you'll want the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness item # 118646 you were looking at. This fits all models except for the GTI and R ones. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your VW's wiring harness, which is located in your rear cargo area on both the driver's side and the passenger's side.

If you are needing to add a 7-way connector you'll also need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller item # ETBC7. The kit includes a pre-wired 7- and 4-way trailer connector that mounts easily at the rear of your vehicle with an included bracket.
