Question:

I recently bought a 4x4 GMC 3500 Savana Quigley with a rear spare tire carrier. Im planning on using it to tow my 6500lb camper. Its taller than my last truck by almost 2 inches and Im worried about clearing the spare. Can a hitch extender with a be used with my weight distribution hitch?

Congrats on your new purchase! There isn't a hitch extender that is compatible with a weight distribution system but I do have a solution for you. You can use the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank item # EQ90-02-4600 so long as you have the standard 1-1/4" spacing between adjustment pin holes on your weight distribution system.

Swapping out the shank on your current system with the Equal-i-zer item # EQ90-02-4600 would give you an additional 6" of clearance.
