Extremely helpful if you have a trailer with a short hitch. I was concerned that it may cause trouble when driving, but it is working great.
The hitch extender is axactly what I needed. I recently put a flat bed on my pickup truck and the hitch was no longer long enough to use until I got the extender. E trailer customer service was awesome as well
Works as advertised
Heavy Duty, worked perfect to put a hitch cargo carrier on the back of my truck with a pickup camper on and the tailgate down. Have not tried to tow anything with it yet.

The hitch extension was as advertised. The hitch extension and rear brackets were a day late which cost me extra time, into this Monday to get installed. Also missed the weekend for camping.
Needed a little more length to prevent the truck wheels from getting wet. I'll know how well it works at the first launch

Haven't used it yet and it significantly reduces your towing capacity, but it's exactly what I needed as I have a 10' truck camper on an 8' bed. Even though it is made in China the build quality seems very good and heavy duty. Knowing that etrailer puts their name on it makes me feel like they make sure to quality test it. There are cheaper Amazon ones that I wouldn't trust.

This device has saved the rear axle of our 2017 Honda Pilot on the boat ramp. The tires get a little wet and the exhaust pipe stays dry as the pontoon boat slips off the trailer. The 18" made the difference. The 18" has not made any problem in driving. Did have to add some safety chain length to attach to the hitch.
Service was great, shipping was fast and on time! Exactly what I needed to extend the hitch on a John/Deer Gator! Works great!
