Features to know about

Replaces a Worn-Out Coleman-Mach Rooftop AC

When your old rooftop AC still fits the opening but no longer keeps the cabin comfortable, you may not need to rebuild the whole system. This 13,500 Btu Coleman-Mach unit replaces the rooftop air conditioner and works with compatible R-32 Coleman-Mach ducted or non-ducted interior components. The air distribution box and thermostat are sold separately, so you can match the rooftop unit to the setup already in your RV or camper.

Cooling Built for Long, Hot Travel Days

After hours on the road or a full afternoon in an open campsite, heat can hang around inside the RV long after the sun starts to drop. This 13,500 Btu air conditioner delivers 320 CFM of airflow to help pull heat out of the cabin and keep cooled air moving through your compatible ducted or non-ducted Coleman-Mach setup. Large evaporator and condenser coils with raised fins help move heat out efficiently, while all-copper tubing and secure joints help the unit handle travel vibration.

Installation Help When You Need It

Replacing a rooftop AC is more straightforward when you are staying with a compatible Coleman-Mach setup, but it still means lifting the unit onto the roof, sealing the opening, and connecting it to the correct interior components. If you'd like help installing your air conditioner, check out our Installer Locator to find an installer near you.

Optional Heat Kit for Cooler Mornings

This AC can also be paired with the Coleman-Mach electric heat kit , sold separately. The heat kit is a supplemental comfort add-on that can help take the chill out of the air during cooler mornings or shoulder-season trips. It is not included with this AC unit and is not meant to replace your RV furnace in cold weather.

when ordered I was told next day delivery, product hadn't even shipped 5 days later. called and customer support had no answers, from there it was another 2 days before the product was received. Transparency and honesty is key, if I had known it would be a week I could have given my client realistic expectations. the only reason it was ordered from e-trailer is my other supplier sent the wrong AC and E-trailer claimed to have the right one with next day shipping.

  • Replacement 13.5K BTU AC for Thor Chateau Sport
Hey Chuck, Welcome back! From what I was able to find, part number 8333A876 cross-references to a Coleman Mach air conditioner. If it's more than a couple of years old, it most likely uses the older R410A refrigerant. You can confirm this by checking the label beneath the air distribution box (ADB) or on the service tag located on the rooftop unit itself. If your unit does use R410A and you're planning to repair it, you'll need to source a compatible R410A Coleman Mach replacement unit...

  • Replacement Coleman-Mach Rooftop AC Unit In Camper 13,500 BTU
Good afternoon Nia, the Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 3 # CM97RR is a good 13,500 Btu rooftop AC option, but it is the rooftop unit only. Since this is one of the newer R32 refrigerant units, you would only be able to replace just the rooftop AC by itself if your current Coleman-Mach setup already uses compatible modern R32 components. If your existing AC system is more than a couple years old, you'll need to replace the matching interior components too so everything works together correctly....

  • Should I Replace Just The Coleman AC Unit Or Replace The Whole System In My Camper?
Hey Andre! If your current Coleman-Mach system is already a modern R32 setup, then the Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 3 # CM97RR would work as a rooftop-unit-only replacement. An easy way to check is to look at the data tag on your current rooftop unit or the paperwork for your ceiling assembly - if it doesn’t specifically show R32 compatibility, I’d assume it’s the older style. New units are not backward compatible since the R32 refrigerant change. Assuming you need a whole new system, for...

  • Replacement Coleman Mach AC Unit 13,500 BTU For Midsized Camper
Hey Rafael! I'd go with the Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 3 # CM97RR if you want the 13,500 Btu rooftop unit. Just keep in mind it’s the rooftop AC only, so you’ll need the correct air distribution box to complete the setup unless you already happen to have the modern R32 refrigerant. The new units aren't backwards compatible so you'd need to replace the other components if you have the older R410 refrigerant which got changed over a couple years ago. For a ductless camper, use the Coleman-Mach...

  • Is There A Replacement Coleman Mach AC Unit For My Camper?
Hey Dev! The Coleman-Mach # CM97RR is a good 13,500 Btu replacement option, but it’s the rooftop unit only. If your current Coleman setup is not a newer R32 system, you’ll need updated compatible interior parts too - the newer R32 rooftop units are not meant to bolt onto older ceiling assemblies and controls. For a ductless setup, use the Coleman-Mach Deluxe Air Distribution Box # CM46RR in addition to the AC unit mentioned above. For a ducted setup with ceiling vents, use the Coleman-Mach...

  • Can I Add Second AC Unit To Bedroom Of RV For When Off-Grid And Don't Need To Cool The Whole RV?
Good morning Yasmin, yes a 13,500 Btu unit can make a lot of sense for a bedroom second AC, especially if that room is smaller and you do not need the same capacity as the main living area. I’d look at the Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 3 # CM97RR. If the bedroom is ductless, pair it with # CM46RR. If it ties into ceiling ducts, use # CM36RR. I’m assuming it’s non-ducted and doesn’t have ceiling vents in that prepped AC spot. If it’s not prepped at all and you’re cutting a new hole in the...

  • How Do I Know Which Rooftop AC Unit I Need For Old Coleman Setup On RV?
Hey Kiana! The easiest place to start is the data tag on your current rooftop unit. If your existing Coleman-Mach system does not specifically show R32 compatibility or if it's from before 2024, it's probably the older style and I'd replace the matching interior parts along with the rooftop unit. There should also be part numbers on the ac unit or ceiling unit to cross reference. The Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 3 # CM97RR is the 13,500 Btu rooftop unit only for the new R32 refrigerant...

  • Replacement Options For Older Coleman Mach 13,500 BTU AC Unit On Older Keystone RV
Hey Boone! If the 13.5K Coleman-Mach kept up before, I’d stay in that same size range with the Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 3 # CM97RR. It’s a 13,500 Btu rooftop unit, so you’re not oversizing the replacement just because the old one failed. Just keep in mind # CM97RR is the rooftop AC only. If your current system is older and does not specifically show R32 compatibility, plan on replacing the inside parts too since they aren't backwards compatible: # CM46RR for ductless or # CM36RR for...

  • Replacement Ducted AC Unit Setup For 2020 Forest River Salem With Ceiling AC Ducts
Hey Amara! The Coleman-Mach # CM97RR is the rooftop AC unit only, so you’ll still need the correct interior components to finish the system. Since your Salem has ceiling ducts, you’d pair it with the Coleman-Mach ChillGrill Air Distribution Box # CM36RR. That setup gives you a 13,500 Btu cool-only Coleman-Mach system for a ducted RV. The rooftop unit fits a standard 14-1/4 inch x 14-1/4 inch opening and has a listed cooling draw of 12.8 amps, which makes it one of the easier ones here...

  • Will Coleman Mach 3 AC Rooftop Unit Work On Small Camper Build Instead Of Full Complete AC System?
Hey Amelie! You can still use the Coleman-Mach AC system # CM97RR for a ductless install, but you’ll need to add the correct air distribution box since the rooftop unit does not include the inside ceiling assembly. For a ductless setup, pair # CM97RR with the Coleman-Mach Deluxe Air Distribution Box # CM46RR. That gives you the rooftop 13,500 Btu unit plus the ceiling assembly needed for direct airflow into the camper. If you want light electric heat later, the Coleman-Mach heater kit...

  • Recommended Modern AC System For Older Noisy Air Conditioner In Camper With 30A Hookup
Good morning Etta, yes the Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 3 # CM97RR is a good option if you want to stay with a 13,500 Btu unit instead of stepping up to a 15K. It has a listed cooling draw of 12.8 amps, so it’s a practical choice for a 30 amp camper when you’re still trying to manage other RV loads. Just keep in mind # CM97RR is the rooftop unit only. If your current setup is older and not already R32 compatible, you’ll need the matching interior parts too: # CM46RR for ductless or # CM36RR...
