Question:
I recently purchased Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly - 5,200-lb, 6,000-lb and 7,000-lb Axles - 12inch - 8 on 6-1/2 42865-KIT. Would it be possible to convert these to a wet Bering system?

Hey Randy,
In order to switch your Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # 42865-KIT over to oil bath you'll need to replace the bearings, grease seal and grease cap. We offer the oil seal # RG06-090, bearings # 25580 and # 14125A, but unfortunately do not have an oil cap compatible with the 2.72" diameter of the # 42865-KIT. You can try reaching out to Kodiak or Dexter for a compatible cap. When swapping over you'll want to really clean of the spindle and make sure that all grease is removed before adding in the oil.
