Hey Peter. Your 2023 Chevy traverse has the factory installed raised roof rails running from front to back, correct? If so, opening he sunroof with the Malone # MAL24AR roof rack installed should not be a problem. I will say that this is not something we have installed and tested yet, but generally the opening of the sunroof will not be an issue on vehicles with raised rails. The height of the rails and the roof rack towers should give ample clearance.

As with any roof rack, we do suggest that you use caution when opening the sunroof for the first time after installing the rack. Perhaps measure the height of the opened sunroof just to be sure. Also be mindful that some roof rack accessories can extend below the crossbars and reduce that clearance, so please do use caution in these situations as well. A lot of times when you have accessories and gear on the roof it can create some noise so opening the sunroof in these situations may not be desirable in the first place.
