Question:
On a 2024 BMW x30i does the foot hands free opener work with this hitch? Are there any drawbacks? If it does work, how much range is lost with the hitch?

Hi Jason,
Good question and I can verify for you that yes, the hands-free liftgate on your 2024 BMW X3 (including the x30i models) will absolutely still work when you install the Draw-Tite hitch:
- Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76226
There are no drawbacks regarding using the liftgate, and the range lost is simply that you have to kick your foot to the side of the 2 inch receiver rather than directly under it. If you take a look at the photo you can see exactly where you need to kick on either side.
