I just bought a 2024 ram laramie 4x4 as my flat tow vehicle behind my motorhome. I have a roadmaster tow bar rated at 8,000 lbs I need assistance with what I need for the ram to connect to the tow bar and what braking system I should buy. Any list of needed items necessary for this application would be appreciated.

Hi Robert; hopefully your Roadmaster tow bar is one that attaches to direct-connect base plates as opposed to crossbar base plates; for example the 8,000 lb Roadmaster Sterling would be optimal. Assuming that, here is what you need to flat tow your 2024 Ram 1500 with a tow bar like the Sterling # RM-576:
- Base Plate Kit: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-522203-5
- Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Wiring Kit # RM-15267
- Supplemental Braking System - MOTORHOME WITH HYDRAULIC BRAKES: Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251
OR
- Supplemental Braking System - MOTORHOME WITH AIR BRAKES: Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Air Brakes # SM99243
Then if you need safety chains, for that use part # RM-645.

Hi Kyle, if I buy rm-522203-s,rm-15267 and sm99243 will this along with my roadmaster nighthawk be enough to get my ram 1500 on the road?
