Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the replacement wraparound straps for Thule AeroBlade Edge crossbars.Now, these are designed to work with your AeroBlade Edge crossbars to attach your roof rack to the factory rails on your vehicle. So if your vehicle already has raised rails, those would be the rails that come up and go across. Those are going to provide the attachment point for our straps to get everything tightened down. This is going to be the same rubber coated stainless steel that came with our original Thule AeroBlade Edge.So this is going to be a replacement if something happened to these, maybe they got lost somewhere along the way. If you took your system off and then went to go put it back on and it's missing a couple straps, or they got chewed up over time, maybe the dog got a hold of one of them, whatever the case might be.So this is going to be a direct replacement for that.
Still flexible enough to wrap around our bars, but also rigid enough to hold its shape and give us a really good secure hold. We'll still have the adjustment placement here with the numbers embossed in the rubber so that you can see how it lines up and get that adjusted according to your instructions. We do get four straps and they're all going to have the same features.Just for reference I'm going to give you some measurements here. So our straps measure about 10 inches long and they're just about one and 3/4 inches wide and about a 16th of an inch thick.Again, this is designed for use with the Thule AeroBlade Edge crossbars. Perfect replacement for my old dry rotted straps.
The rubber of the original straps was disintegrating. And replacing these straps is a much better option than replacing the cross bars. etrailer also has a good price for those (vs. buying directly from Thule).

Just what I needed when the originals fell apart.
A bit spendy, but worth it. My rack is older and the rubber on the straps looked like it was breaking down. I was worried about the integrity of the mounting straps, but didn’t want to get new racks. Pretty happy that etrailer had this maintenance item.

Easy to install and they usually last quite a few years (I think about 4-5 in my case, in the Arizona sun). I notice in some reviews that people aren't aware that the rubber coats a steel strap so a few cracks in the rubber aren't something to worry about.
Needed fresh straps, and they arrived on time and in great shape. Thanks!

Still holding strong!
Exactly what we needed. They were back ordered and took a while to get but that is not unusual these days. They even offered some stock suggestions but wait was fine. The folks at ETrailer are great. They communicate everything and are so prompt at doing so. I really enjoyed working with them.
