Question:

Will this directly plug and play replace the stock 7 pole plug on a 2020 Ram Dually with the max tow package? I need to use the 7 way and 4 way at the same time. Thanks!

Yes, it will! However, the Curt Replacement OEM USCAR Trailer Connector item # C42JR won't let you use both the 7-Way and the 4-Way at the same time. You will need to install the Multi-Tow 7-Way and 4-Way item # 30955 to use both at the same time.

Both of these 7-way/4-way combos use the USCAR connector which is what all vehicle's that come with a 7-way connector from the factory use.

What exactly is the difference between the stock wiring and your recommended replacement. If both have the seven and flat four receiver plugs, why can’t they be used together?

@RichardV Functionally as far as the 7-ways and 4-ways go nothing. Curt has the item # C42JR set up so you can not physically open both covers at the same time.

Are you sure about that?That Question was asked by another person and the expert said that you can use them at same time. Not consistent answers.

@Randy Yep. I am sure! You'd have to break the latch to use both at the same time. Curt has it set up so you physically can not use both at the same time.
