Question:
I ORDERED THE 48955 DIODE TAIL LIGHT KIT4 DIODES. MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT THIS WILL WORK IF WIRED TO THE TAIL LIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHT CIRCUIT RED LENSE ON A 2012 CAPTIVA SPORT. WITH THE TURN SIGNAL CIRCUIT WHICH IS AMBER LIGHT LEFT UN TOUCHED. I THINK I HAVE THE CORRECT WIRING DIAGRAM FROM YOUR ETRAILER WEB SITE. PLEASE SEND ME ONE OVER MY EMAIL SITE. THANKS

The Hopkins # 48955 taillight diode kit can indeed be used to drive the running /brake lights on your Captiva like a three function lamp, without using the amber bulb for a turn signal.
