How is Red Locking Tab of Curt Trailer Wiring Harness Manipulated to Unplug Connector

Question:
I have this exact connector on my vehicle but cannot figure out how to remove it from the back of the 7-pin connector. Your instruction on the link below say push the red tabs. Push both, or push it one way? I dont want to damage anything. h

The red tab on the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C55381 needs to be carefully pressed sideways to release it so that the connectors can be pulled apart according to the instructions for this kit.
