Can Trailer Lighting with Three Wires Replace Two Wire Setup

Question:
Hi, I had previously posed question for switching from incandescent fixtures to LED on a car hauler. The fixtures on the web page show 3 wire design, but my incandescents are 2 wire, what do I need to do? Thanks

Trailer taillight kits like the part # TLL56RK that have 3 wires can install on trailers that have 2 wire setups pretty easily. What you would need to do is run the white wire of this kit to the mounting hardware and you'd be set. What you have now is designed to ground through the mounting hardware so with kits like this it would be just a matter of running the ground to the same place.
