Recommended Anti-Rattle Hitch Extension For 2 Hitch

Question:

Hello I’m looking for a hitch extender for my 2020 Jeep Wrangler for a Kuat bike rack on a 2 inch hitch. I was watching your videos on YouTube and you mentioned an extender with anti rattle so the bike rack won’t sway. I don’t see such an extender in your products. Can you please point me in the right direction.

I can certainly point you in the right direction. We offer a few hitch extensions with built in anti-rattle that will work nicely with your Kuat bike rack. A really good one is the Kuat Hi-Lo Hitch Extender # HL20B. This can be either 7" long or 10" long, and comes with a threaded hitch bolt which will help to eliminate play.

If you need something longer, (to clear the spare tire perhaps?), we have the # C45795 from Curt which is 14" long. This does not have any built in anti rattle, but you could pair it with an anti rattle device like the # RM-061. This is a U-bolt style hitch immobilizer.

Please keep in mind that when using an extension, you will reduce your trailer hitches carrying capacity by 50%.
