Have a 2025 Honda CRV sport touring with backup sensor and this will not fit. Cross bar hits backup sensors. You can see the sensor wiring junction box in the pic clearly in line where the cross bar goes

On some trim levels of the CRV, you'll need to get a sensor relocation bracket from Honda.

You can relocate the rear door sensor (for hundreds of $) but you cannot relocate the rear parking sensor which is the issue with this hitch.

I haven't installed yet but pieces in package broke loose and dinged each others finish. Appears cable tie broke, at least I found a broke one in the box. Box was in good shape and didn't look abused. I'm currently touching up the bare dings in the hitch before I take to installer to install. Other than breaking loose everything else seems to be here. I like the design where the attachment brackets bolt on to the bar. It makes working with the hitch easier. This will be my 4th add on trailer hitch (2 I installed myself), so I have some experience with installation.

Love the hitch and love that it is a Kansas based company. Confirm that it fits a 2026 trailsport hybrid. Recommend installing passenger side, then slide hitch behind the fascia, then install the drivers side. On the hybrids there is not exhaust on the drivers side so wide open to work there. I ordered an exhaust hanger removal tool off amazon for cheap which made dropping the exhaust sooooo easy. Only frustration with instructions is it gives the width to cut the fascia but not the depth. Had to eyeball it and was not deep enough first time. Recommend getting everything finger tight and then make sure you have cut enough for the black plastic body grommets to fit back in based upon your cut. I don't plan tow with this but will use bike racks and trash can hauler.

Product is well built and fits great. The instructions are not great when it comes to cutting the rear plastic pieces. They really need to just insert a template for it. It gives with details but no depth measurements. Other than that super cool kit.

This hitch arrived overnight. Installed it in good time. Most of the install time was due to trimming the fascia of the rear bumper. Took the hitch in and out a few times to make sure that the trimming was precise. I you’ve ever installed a hitch before, this would be an easy install for you.

Great quality build. Whent together easy. The two star rating is for the fact that on my 2019 Honda the hitch hits the plastic bumper. The marks in the pics are the end of the hitch. Not sure if Honda did something with the design in 2019 but this is what I got with no adjustments avalibe forward or aft. I had to get creative with zip ties as the plastic fender pins where no longer an option. I purchased this for hauling five mountain bikes around. I purchased as it has the best weight rating out of the options listed.

Went well. It's old school solid and it's heavy, 43 lbs. for the whole kit, I'm glad I got the B & W 3-piece. Plus made in USA. 50 minute install time is pretty rosy. Took me a couple hours by the time I got all the tools out, went through the directions, lowered the exhaust, cut the bumper cover and stone guard, installed the hitch, raised the exhaust, and cleaned up. Working under the car, stone driveway. Backing the car up my ramps really helped. One person is no problem with this hitch. Glad for the videos.

Receiver seems to be of excellent quality and I believe the 3-piece design made installation easier for my situation: solo & with vehicle on the ground. The main purpose was to use a cargo carrier, with the possibility of pulling a lightweight boat & trailer. My one complaint is that the picture shown at the time I ordered it did not match the actual product, so I did not know exactly what to expect when it arrived, I see now that the picture on the review page looks like the product I received. I made my selection based on specs and price, and ultimately I am quite satisfied with the service, the product and final installed result.

Works great, well made, a little harder to install had make some adjustments to get it to fit with the foot hatch wand in the bumper, but works. Would suggest to have it done by a professional if your not mechanical incline or don’t have the tools,

Nice fit for the price. Looks OEM once installed. Can install solo (I did), but a second set of hands would help things go quicker. Be prepared to break plastic fasteners if your vehicle has any mileage on it. Most torque wrenches won't have a prayer of getting to all 10 of the nuts, so be ready to crawl under your car and re-tighten after a few hundred miles.

2025 Honda CR-V

Unfortunately, the B&W hitch did not fit my 2025 CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring. First, the flanges for the 3-piece design hit the bumper cover and push it out about 1/2 to 3/4 inches so that the bumper tabs would not line up with the mounts. Not only do the flanges stick out from the cross beam more than one-piece designs, but the cross beam is straight instead or curved like other designs that mimic the curvature of the bumper cover better. Secondly, I removed the kick sensor for the hands-free rear door to facilitate trimming the bumper cover and fitting the hitch. However, the kick plate would need to be modified beyond recognition to fit back on with this hitch. I attached photos showing the flange hitting the bumper cover, the misaligned tab to the mounts, and how much of the kick-plate would need to be cut to match the amount of bumper cover I had to cut. Looks good from the back, too bad I could not finish the installation.

  • Will B&W Trailer Hitch Receiver Interfere With Hands Free Sensor on 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid
Hey Eric! The B&W Trailer Hitch # BW97BR won't cause you to lose the hands free functionality on your 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring. What it will do is block the sensor right in the middle where the receiver sits. The same is true for pretty much any hitch you install on the CR-V. Placing your foot on either side of the receiver will still activate the sensor. The only exception is the EcoHitch Stealth # EH25KR. This has a removable receiver so it will only interfere when the receiver...

  • What Hitch do I Need for My 2018 Honda CR-V that does Not Require Fascia Trimming?
Hello Lee, After looking carefully through the hitches, the only one that I see that does not require an trimming is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 76128, which happens to be the one that you have installed before. I looked up the OEM hitch receiver ($511... ouch) and it replaces the support beam. There are not any hitches from the aftermarket guys that do that, but work just as well =) If you needed some wiring for the your 2018 Honda...

  • What Trailer Hitch Will Fit My 2026 Honda CRV Hybrid 2 Wheel Drive
Hey, Bo! Good news, hitch part # BW97BR will absolutely work on your 2026 Honda CR-V, whether it’s a hybrid or non-hybrid model. Right now, we don’t have an installation video for the hybrid version, only for the non-hybrid. However, I double-checked with B&W, and they don’t note any special steps for hybrid models. That means the installation process will be the same for both versions. We have installed a hitch on a hybrid CR-V before, specifically the etrailer hitch part # e98848,...

  • Custom Hitch for a 2023 Honda CR-V
Thanks for reaching out, Rick. I wouldn't be able to encourage modifying the B&W trailer hitch part # BW97BR. It wouldn't be safe or functional to do so. What are you using the hitch for? Do you have concerns with ground clearance with a bike rack or other hitch mounted accessory? Let me know and I can look into alternate solution for you. Another option you could you could do would be to get a universal hitch like part # 15902 and take it to a local fab shop and have them retro fit...

  • What is Most Hidden Hitch Available for 2018 Honda CR-V
Hey Jason, the most concealed hitch we offer for your 2018 Honda CR-V would be the B and W part # BW97BR as it only has the hitch opening that hangs below the rear bumper and also it's safety chain loops are pushed back further than other similar models which gives it the edge over all of the other similar hitches. Will you be doing any towing?
