Your video below says the hitch will not interfere with the 2024 Honda CRV hands free list gate, yet the p/n listed for that vehicle on your website says it will interfere. Which is right? The etrailer class 3 hitch # e98848 will affect the hands free lift gate sensor on a 2024 Honda CR-V. It is difficult to give a firm answer to this question, as we have received varying reports on the functionality of the sensor with the hitch installed. Most people report that they are still able to use the sensor, but it works a little differently. Like there will be a sweet spot off to the side of the hitch. So instead of waving your foot directly under the sensor, you waive it to the side and it will activate.

Some people have reported complete loss of functionality with the sensor. In these cases we recommend obtaining a sensor relocation kit from Honda. This will move the sensor 7" to the right.
