Question:
Hi, Will this trailer hitch interfere with hands-free tailgate sensor? I couldnt find wording from their website that mentions this, nor could I find installation instructions that could possibly mention it.

Hello David.
With any after market hitch, it is possible for it to get in the way of the sensor for your hands-free tailgate, especially when in use. The EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # EH25KR is going to be your best option for being able to still use your hands-free tailgate. We have not had the pleasure of installing one on a Honda CR-V at this time, so we really have no way of knowing for sure. I know that the crossmember is concealed so that won't cause the issue, and the receiver comes off when not in use, so if the receiver is off it will not be in the way. Now if you are using the receiver to do some light towing, or using a hitch mounted accessory there is a possibility of it getting in the way. Honda has a Hands-Free Power Tailgate Sensor Adapter that you can purchase to relocate the sensor if there is an issue.
If you need some wiring for some light towing or a hitch mounted accessory for lights, I would go with the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118741, and don't forget to grab a Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat # 18144 for a clean looking install.
If you need a ball mount too, check out the etrailer Ball Mount w/ Pre-Torqued 2" Ball - 2" Hitch - 2" Drop - 7,500 lbs # e67DR, the black nickel plating on the 2" ball gives it a really nice sleek design,

Hey David, how did things go with the EcoHitch Stealth hitch on your CR‑V and the hands‑free tailgate sensor? Did you find that the removable receiver kept the sensor working as expected? Your update could make it easier for others with the same setup.
