This Class II receiver gives you 3,500 lbs of gross trailer weight and 350 lbs of tongue weight capacity, perfect for light-duty towing or hauling a bike rack or cargo carrier. The 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" opening works with a wide range of small trailers and accessories, giving you reliable strength without the bulk of a heavy-duty hitch.
No welding or fabrication is needed here. The hitch uses a bolt-on install that lines up with factory mounting points, so you can mount it in your driveway with the included hardware and instructions. The precision, robotic welding ensures everything fits where it should, saving time and avoiding frustration during the install.
The fully welded steel construction is finished with a gloss black powder coat laid over a protective base coat for superior rust resistance. That tough coating helps the hitch stand up to road salt, rain, and debris while keeping a clean, finished look under the bumper. The concealed cross tube keeps most of the hitch hidden behind the bumper so only the receiver is visible. I finally got around to installing the hitch I bought last year for my 2018 CR-V. etrailer's instructions and videos made it very easy. I did it by myself simply laying on the ground under the vehicle. It probably took me 2 hours, but saved the $650 dealer charge to install. If I was to do it again, I would definitely buy a set of exhaust hanger pliers ($15-$20). The hanger arms on my CR-V did not have a lip/?? to use a pry bar against as shown in the instructions. I probably spent half my time just getting the hangers off (2 rear plus middle one). The Curt hitch that hides the cross bar behind the bumper makes for a much nicer looking install. I am very pleased with my etrailer purchase and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a hitch for their vehicle.
This hitch suits my purposes perfectly. (I use it to mount a Thule bike carrier.)

Despite what’s implied by the installation video this receiver will not work with the 2023 CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring rear hatch sensor adapter nor are the measurements for the facia trimming in the instructions correct. Thanks etrailer for letting me do your fit testing for you.

We have seen this complaint on other 2023 CR-Vs. I know that the lift gate sensor does have to be moved and even when moved you may have a shortened area that it will function or may loose that function all together. Fascia trimming is not always exact and you may been to do more or less trimming than the instructions tell you.
I'm very pleased with the hitch I just installed. I'd never done something like this before and found the instructional video VERY helpful.
Shipping was FAST and unit arrived complete with all hardware.

Awesome product, we have used our new hitch for many applications - we bought it for a bike rake attachment but have found many other uses!
The hitch assembly fit perfectly in my 2023 CRV. The pictures in the instructions could be more clearer. I installed the hitch myself but another set of hands would have made the job easier.

A little challenging to install on my vehicle, but the instructions were good. Looks great.
Looks great. One trick is that for the CRV, the hitch installs inside the bumper. Had an issue with it not fitting until we tucked it under the bumper. Very low profile. Thank you.
I ordered this after installing a handful of trailer hitches before. This one was nice because they said the drawbar wouldn't be visible.
I didn't realize that I had to cut the bumper, a struggled to find out why it wouldn't fit after lowering the exaust and fishing the bolts through. The video etrailer posted is for tge one with the draw bar exposed.
After I cut the notch in the bumper I had to figure out tge draw bar goes inside tge bumper.
Instructions where terrible and tge photos where so dark you couldn't make them out.
After figuring it all out the hitch looks better than a normal one. I had not installed that style of hitch before and it was more work then I thought.
This is not for someone with limited tools and minor experience levels. If thats you I strongly suggest going with the other style/brand. You'll be happy you did.

Well. I was shorted a square hole spacer, I replaced with a washer. But that wasn't the main problem. After lowering the exhaust and fishing in the bolts, the holes in the hitch were off. After examining, the passenger side arm of the hitch was either bent or welded tilting in. Because I was so far into the install I decided to do a little collision work on it using a sledgehammer. The install went smoothly after that.
The first one that I ordered, was recommended by customer service…. Didn’t fit. New style on car. Called, they resolved quickly. This one fits. Only the hitch points more down slope from the car, instead of up. Causing bike rack to hit speed bumps.

Nice looking hitch, very little hardware exposed so it doesn't stick way out or look tacky. Looks like a factory hitch. I only use it for a hitch mounted platform carrier and it's plenty stable for the purpose.

I have to admit I was nervous about ordering the hitch, but it fit my Honda 2021 CR-V perfectly and looks amazing!! I had it installed at my local auto repair shoo. It was half the price of what the dealership was charging and looks amazing!!! If you in the market for a hitch for your vehicle I would totally recommend purchasing from etrailer.
Everything went as expected. If you have a 2026 Hybrid Sport, be sure to go 1-3/4” deep on the bumper, no 1-3/8”.
I just installed it haven't used it yet seems fine, hardest part of the install was getting the rubber muffler hangers off their pegs and getting them back on
On my application, a 2022 CR-V Hybrid Touring, I would consider this installation to be “custom” at best. Hitch itself bolts on fine. Does touch the sides of the “spare tire” well, which is poor design, but not the end of the world. Instructions describe trimming of bumper cover to clear receiver area, but I also had to trim additional areas of the splash panels and bumper cover to clear the hitch. My car is also equipped with the kick to open tailgate. The sensor, module, and their bracket sit right where the hitch goes. Your options are to unplug and remove it all, or extensively cut the bracket like I did. I then reinstalled the remainder of the bracket, and then had to zip tie and relocate the module onto the hitch, and the lower sensor wire to the panels after drilling a few holes in the plastic. In the end, hitch is installed, and kick sensor still works as it should. I was able to do everything without removing the bumper cover, but it would have been a lot easier if I took it off. Overall, fitment isn’t horrible, but there’s no way you’re doing it in the 20 minutes the instructions say it should take. If you don’t have the kick to open feature, installation would be much less complicated, but the additional trimming would still be needed and isn’t shown in the instructions. This issue may only apply to Hybrid models.
It isn't easy to find a nice trailer hitch for a Honda CRV hybrid but e-trailer had what I needed and their phone support was right on with the needed information.

After one year of use, this trailer hitch looks as good as new. I’m totally pleased with it.
Great receiver. Looks better than I even hoped and it works great too. Your videos covering installation of the hitch assembly and wire harness were the best. They made the job go very smoothly. Thanks for great products and instruction. I’m sure I’ll be back in the future. .

Its a great hitch and I used it quite a lot for towing my trailer. I recently traded that car and ordered another hitch from you for my new car and it just arrived yesterday. I will be installing it tomorrow. Looks to be another great product. Cant wait.
Installation was pretty straight forward and without a hitch.(no pun intended)
Online videos were helpful so you know what you are getting into. I am 75 and I did it unaided by myself on the floor. The Hitch receiver sticks out about two inch's further then I would like on my 2024 CRV Hybrid, but it is not a problem. Cutting the plastic trim to make way for the hitch can be done much more neatly then the videos show and results in a more OEM look; measuring closely give better results. Scratches/scrapes from shipping were evident so I painted those before assembly and all bare metal pieces after assembly.
This picture is taken a year on.
My Curt Trailer Hitch arrived in good condition packaged very well. All necessary included. The installation when fairly well. The instructions for modification of trim pieces could be upgraded. The hitch looks good on my 2026 CRV and I am sure it will meet my requirements for my trailer use.
Installation videos are great. I was concerned that the bolt fishing wires shown in the video would be something I would have to find elsewhere but they were included in the installation kit. Great servie . Great Job.
I have a 2025 Honda crv hybred. This installation did not interfere with the ability for my rear door to operate with the foot function…. I did have to cut a peice of the plastic shroud out. I recommend cutting a section of 1 3/4 X 3 out of the center to allow the hitch installation. It can also be a one man job. Total installation was about two hours

Thanks for the tips, Paul! And good call using the floor jack. It is one of the ways we recommend doing it when people are having trouble lifting it into place. What will you be using this for now that it's installed?
